Privacy policy

Last updated: May 4, 2026

This is the privacy policy for WorkersCompDeadline.us. We try to keep this short and accurate — what we collect, what we don't, and what your rights are.

1. What we collect

We collect aggregate usage analytics through Google Analytics 4 (GA4). This is gated behind our cookie consent banner: until you click Accept, GA4 runs in Google Consent Mode v2 with all storage signals (analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization) defaulted to denied, meaning GA4 collects only cookieless pings that contain no identifiers tied to you.

When consent is granted, GA4 collects standard analytics events (page views, session duration, referrer, device class, browser, and an aggregated geographic region derived from IP). IP addresses are not stored — GA4 truncates the address before logging.

If you submit the lawyer-match form or the contact form, we collect the data you provide (name, email, phone if entered, and the message body). We do this only when you submit.

2. What we don't collect

  • We don't store your IP address.
  • We don't run cross-site behavioral advertising trackers. There is no Meta Pixel, no LinkedIn Insight Tag, no TikTok Pixel, no programmatic ad-network beacon on this site.
  • We don't fingerprint your device. We don't use third-party identity-graph providers.
  • We don't sell or rent your information to data brokers.
  • We don't use session-replay tools (FullStory, Hotjar, Microsoft Clarity).

3. Third parties

The site runs on top of two third-party services that have access to limited request metadata in the normal course of serving the page:

  • Google Analytics 4 (consent-gated). Used for aggregate analytics. See Google's privacy practices at policies.google.com/privacy.
  • Cloudflare (CDN + edge). Provides CDN, DDoS protection, and edge caching. Cloudflare may log request metadata (IP, user agent, timestamp) for security and performance only. See cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
  • Cloudflare Email Routing. When you email any address on this domain (corrections, partnerships, press, privacy, hello, dmarc), Cloudflare Email Routing receives the message and forwards it to the operator's inbox at Google Workspace (desymphony.com). The message body, your email address, and any attachments are processed by both Cloudflare and Google in the course of delivery.
  • Google Workspace (operator inbox). The forwarded mail terminates in a Google Workspace mailbox under the operator's control. See Workspace DPA terms.

4. Lawyer-match

The lawyer-match page does not run an intake form. We point users to the state-bar lawyer-referral service via the ABA directory; that link is to an external site we do not operate. We do not collect, transmit, or store any PII through the lawyer-match flow today.

When our partner-firm network is live, this section will describe exactly what data is collected, where it is sent, how long it is retained, and how to delete it. We will not quietly start collecting PII without an updated disclosure here first.

5. Cookies

We use the minimum cookies required to make the site work and to honor your consent choice:

  • wcd-cookie-consent— stores your consent choice (accepted or declined) so we don't re-prompt you on every page view. Set in localStorage, not a cookie in the strict sense, and accessible only to this domain.
  • _ga, _ga_<container-id> — the Google Analytics 4 client and session identifiers. Set only after you click Accept on the consent banner. If you decline, these are not set.

No other cookies are set by this site.

6. Your rights (GDPR, CCPA, and equivalents)

Wherever you are, you can exercise the following rights with respect to your data:

  • Right to access. Ask us what we hold about you. We will respond with whatever is on file (which, if you have not submitted a form, is generally nothing personally identifiable).
  • Right to deletion. Ask us to delete your form submissions and any retained record associated with you. We will action the request within 30 days or sooner where the law requires.
  • Right to opt out. You can withdraw analytics consent at any time by clearing the wcd-cookie-consententry in your browser's storage and refusing on the next visit, or by browsing in a private window.
  • Right against sale/sharing (CCPA). We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. There is nothing to opt out of in that regard.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at /contact with the subject line Privacy request.

7. Children

This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information, write to us and we will delete it.

8. Changes to this policy

When we update this policy, the date at the top of the page changes. Material changes (a new analytics provider, a new tracker, a change in third-party data flow) will also be announced on the homepage for at least 30 days.

9. Contact

For privacy questions, GDPR/CCPA access or deletion requests, email [email protected]. We respond within the statutory window (30 days).
