Terms of use

Last updated: May 4, 2026

By using WorkersCompDeadline.us (the “site”) you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the site.

1. Informational use only

The site is provided as a free informational resource on workers' compensation filing deadlines. It is not a law firm, not a legal-advice service, not a claim-filing service, and not affiliated with any government agency. Nothing on the site is legal advice. See our legal disclaimer for the full statement.

2. No attorney-client relationship

Use of this site does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and the site's operator, its writers, its editorial reviewers, or any partner attorney in the lawyer-match network. Communications submitted through the site are not privileged.

3. Lawyer-match referrals

The lawyer-match feature routes your information to a third-party attorney referral network. We may receive a referral fee if you ultimately retain an attorney through that network. The fee does not affect editorial content or which attorneys you are matched with within your state. You are not required to use the lawyer-match feature; you may contact your state bar's referral service directly.

4. Limitation of liability

The site is provided “as is” and “as available”. We make no warranty, express or implied, that the information is accurate, complete, current, or fit for any particular purpose. Statute citations, deadline numerals, and computed dates are best-effort approximations of state law and are not a substitute for advice from a licensed attorney.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the site, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our aggregate liability for any direct damages arising out of these terms or your use of the site is limited to USD $100.

5. Permitted use

You may read, print, and bookmark pages for your personal, non-commercial use. You may share links to the site freely. We welcome normal search-engine indexing and accessibility tooling.

Prohibited: automated scraping, bulk extraction, or any commercial reuse of the corpus (state-by-state statute data, deadline rules, calculator output) without prior written permission. The corpus represents substantial editorial labor; copying it for a competing directory or republishing it on a third-party site is a violation of these terms and of the underlying database rights.

You may not attempt to interfere with the site's operation, probe for vulnerabilities outside a coordinated disclosure context, or use the site to harass any reviewer, partner, or other user.

6. Third-party links

The site links out to state legislature servers, state agency pages, court opinions, and partner attorney networks. We do not control those third-party sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement.

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of the page changes when we do. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for breach of these terms or any other reason. The disclaimer, limitation of liability, governing law, and any provisions which by their nature should survive termination, will survive.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the operator's state of formation. We do not assert a non-US forum. For specific dispute-resolution venue, email [email protected].
